This year went great. I was not sure how well we would be recieved by our new neighbors. We didn't advertise because we only did a graveyard. Next year.....The Haunted Mine!! Watch for it! More and more details to come...
For those of you who don't know: HomeHauntNews.Com is the greatest site ever!! We used the tutorial for the motion sensor power strip and jacked our own! It works greeat and keeps your power bill down by not having to have your lights on your haunt 24/7! Thanks Home Haunt News!
While most places have AFTER Halloween sales a few places have before Halloween sales because they don't have room for the merch and want to bring in the Christmas stuff ASAP: We are moving but will stll have the Yard Haunt as planned. It seems to be a similar sized yard. Hopefully there will be a lot less wind! BBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! OK, I already added it to the 2008 page but I wanted to post it here, too. Newly procured: The theme for 2008 will be 'Haunted House'. It may seem kind of old fashioned but we have not really done it before so I wanted to give it a whirl. THis year will have a roaming ghost in the cemetery, animatronic scare in the main attraction area and giant spiders galore! We'll put up some potos as they become available. This year we wil have a scaled down haunt due to new babies in the family. We have not really decided on a theme as we have not been able to procure the items we wanted for this haunt just yet... We are also starting this year to collect non-perishable goods for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. This is not a requirement for admission, however. Be sure to check out the "NEW ITEMS" section on each gallery page letting you know what new items will be incorporated into the haunt that year. Also, we have decided to make craft pumpkins (a.k.a. Funkins) our main pumpkin source. We LOVE real pumpkns - especially the burning smell from candles) but the uneven weather in Reno (hot, cold, freezing, rainy) during the month of October sortens the life span of pumkins terribly ;( |
